Pastor Charles Fischer joined us in August, 2002. Charles comes to us from Indianapolis, Indiana where he pastored for 8 years. Prior to that time he served as State Director of Youth and Christian Education in Washington, Oklahoma, and Southern Ohio. In the early years of Charles' ministry he served as an evangelist and local church youth pastor.

Charles was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He began his ministry in 1972. In l977 he married his lovely wife, Alice. She was raised in Vidor, Texas. Both Charles and Alice were brought up in the Church of God.

Charles graduated with a B.A. in Christian Ministries from the West Coast Christian College in 1980. He was awarded a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Pastoral Ministries from the Church of God Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee in 1983. He is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree.

The Fischers are blessed with two children. Their daughter, Lauryn, and her husband Brandon Montgomery serve as Student Pastors at the Rose Heights Church of God in Tyler, Texas. Their son, Joel, lives in Bellingham, Washington where he is working on a degree in Outdoor Recreation Education at Western Washington University.

Charles and Alice's ministry has taken them to 49 states and 30 countries since 1972. They are significantly involved with international missions ministries while being fully committed to the local ministry of New Life Fellowship.
